Powder River Cleanup Days: Twice a year in spring and fall the Powder Basin Watershed Council organizes river cleanup days in Baker City. The Council’s mission is “to facilitate community-supported maintenance and restoration of the streams, rivers, and lakes within our watersheds.”

One Book, One Community: What if everyone in Baker County read the same book and joined together to talk about it?
First Friday Art Walk: On the first Friday of every month, Baker City residents and visitors celebrate the art community by hopping from one gallery to another, sharing wine, hors d’oeuvres and stories, and enjoying the variety of new art pieces showcased in each location. Music sounds through the streets, retail shops and restaurants are open late, and many artists are available to discuss their work. Festivities in Downtown Baker City get underway about 5 pm.
